CSR Limited today announced that John Gillam will become Chairman on 31 May 2018.  He succeeds Jeremy Sutcliffe who will retire from the Board on the same date after serving over six years as Chairman.

At the company’s Annual General Meeting in June 2017, Mr Sutcliffe advised that he would not be standing for re-election at the end of his current term.

“After nearly ten years as a director, including one as interim CEO and six as Chairman, it is the right time to retire and allow my successor to address shareholders at the 2018 AGM about the company’s plans for the future,” Mr Sutcliffe said.

Mr Gillam joined the CSR board in December 2017 and is the former Managing Director of Bunnings. 

“It is an honour to assume the role of Chairman succeeding Jeremy Sutcliffe who has been integral to the success of the company over many years.  I look forward to the challenges and the opportunities this role presents to continue the company’s work creating long-term value for all stakeholders,” Mr Gillam said.

CSR’s Annual General Meeting will be held on 27 June 2018.
