On Monday 29 July 2013 Manufacturing Australia launched a national campaign to stop the unrestricted exports of gas by a small number of international gas companies from Australia’s East Coast, which threatens almost 200,000 Australian manufacturing jobs. 

Manufacturing Australia has set up a dedicated campaign website atwww.gasforjobs.com.au.

The website includes research about the impact of unrestricted exports on manufacturing, a document outlining recommended solutions to the problem of unrestricted gas exports, and an online petition urging the Federal Government and Opposition to make this issue an election priority.

Please review the website to inform yourself about the urgency of this problem, and complete the online petition if you agree with the need for government intervention to ensure domestic gas supplies.
