Acquires commercial ceiling businesses, Comprador Pacific and Potters Interiors
Consolidated with CSR’s Fricker Ceiling Systems, makes CSR the clear number two in Australia/New Zealand commercial ceilings market
Master distribution arrangement across Australia/New Zealand from global ceilings supplier, USG
CSR has strengthened its position in the commercial ceilings market across Australia/New Zealand with the acquisition of the businesses of Comprador Pacific (Australia) and Potters Interiors (NZ), subsidiaries of Tag Pacific Ltd.
The acquisition strengthens CSR’s existing position in the commercial ceilings market through its wholly-owned Fricker Ceilings Systems business and will consolidate CSR as the clear number two in the commercial ceilings market across Australia and New Zealand.
Rob Sindel, CEO, CSR Building Products said: “the acquisition is part of our wider Building Products strategy to consolidate CSR’s position in core markets.
“The transaction provides our existing commercial ceiling business with an immediate uplift in scale and synergies with a platform to grow more quickly into the commercial ceiling and interiors market.”
The transaction also provides CSR with a master distribution arrangement across Australia/New Zealand from the world’s second largest mineral fibre ceiling brand, USG, plus an extensive product range of specialist commercial interior products.
