CSR announced today that it hasentered into a major contract to supply ethanol to BP Australia.
The contract will see CSR supplying23 million litres of ethanol to BP over the next 2 years from its upgradedSarina distillery in North Queensland. The product will be blended with petroleum to produce e10 for sale inthe Queensland market.
CSR is currently undertaking a$15 million upgrade to its Sarina, Queensland distillery, to provide anadditional 32 million litres of fuel grade ethanol for the fuel market. This project is supported by a $4.2 milliongrant from the Department of Industry and Tourism as part of the CommonwealthGovernment’s commitment to supporting a biofuelsindustry in Australia.
