The Chairman of CSR Limited IanBlackburne announced today that the company’s Managing Director Alec Brennanhas confirmed that he plans to retire at the end of his current contract inMarch 2007.

A search process is underway toappoint a successor to Mr Brennan, with internal and external candidates to beconsidered.Alec will be working closelywith the board to ensure a smooth succession process for the company.

Inhis 37 year career with CSR, Alec has served the company in a wide range ofsenior roles across the businesses. He has been a director since 1996 and chiefexecutive since March 2003.

“CSRhas benefited greatly from Alec’s role in restructuring the company over thepast 10 years which has seen very substantial value creation for shareholders,”Dr Blackburne said.
